Mexico (Notimex) – From May 29 to June 12, the state of Guanajuato will host the sixth edition of the International Gastronomy Summit.
The 14-day event is expected to welcome some 70,000 visitors, up 143 percent from last year’s edition, said Guanajuato’s Tourism Minister, Fernando Olivera.
The guest countries for the event are Japan, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Argentina, Panama, Brazil, Guatemala and Chile.
“The sixth edition of the summit is one of the most important gastronomic projects in the history of Guanajuato, and reflects the state’s successful public policy strategy,” said Salvador Sánchez, deputy minister of Quality and Regulation of the Mexican Tourism Ministry.
