SITE Incentive Summit Holds Successful Education Day

The SITE Board of Directors and Foundation Trustees gathered this week in scenic Ljubljana, Slovenia for SITE Incentive Summit, held in conjunction with Conventa. The Summit was sponsored by the Slovenia Convention Bureau and took place at the Grand Hotel Union.

Board Members and Trustees kicked off the week with a joint meeting at Prejama Castle followed by a tour and reception at Postojna Cave. SITE Education Day included sessions on “Fundamentals of an Incentive Travel Program,” “What Makes a Good DMC for Incentives,” “Successful Hotel Site Inspections,” and more. The day also featured a presentation on SITE’s fight against human trafficking and partnership with ECPAT and the release of the SITE Index results, which you can read the highlights of here. Throughout the week SITE leaders participated in experiences and activities that showcased the country’s rich history, culture and gastronomy and met with key decision makers and politicians where they provided advice on how to grow Slovenia’s incentive travel market.
